Meet Sheila Burkett

Why Elect Sheila for Kirkwood City Council?

Kirkwood deserves leadership that listens, leads with transparency, and plans for the long term. That’s exactly why I’m running for City Council.

As a community builder, successful business owner, and civic leader, I bring experience turning vision into action. I believe Kirkwood can remain a place where families thrive, neighbors feel safe, and everyone has a voice but only if we commit to thoughtful progress.

I’m running to make housing more attainable for young families, ensure our streets are safe and walkable, maintain control of our utilities through responsible investment, and restore public trust in how city dollars are spent. Above all, I’m committed to building a Kirkwood that works for everyone — not just for today, but for generations to come.

I believe in putting people first, understanding the impact of decisions, and putting our shared values to work.
